ICER NLP Model

                          Neuro-linguistic programming

The below mentioned NLP framework came from the study and application of NLP in various setting, it is now tested and applied in therapeutic and Coaching session and has given wonderful shifts in Coaching perspective. The major contribution comes from the work and inspiration of JACK MAKANI, the founder of ICTA and Visionary International support on NLP development in Nepal. The next contributor Is NLP Trainer Santoshi for adding resources section on the model. I am Diplove Gautam, enthusiast of NLP and NLP Trainer from ICTA is happy bringing this model for creating effective training and Coaching sessions.

1.       ICER FRAMEWORK
The framework is an NLP tool that can help one when we are coaching client for creating our way through positively defined outcomes, we have four major categories and it all starts from creating an Intention, connecting with resources and expressing new ways of taking action to achieve desired outcome.

The above-mentioned model is the way to assist client create internal shift and transformation in the life of clients. From the current state to desired state
We may usually find our client in the state where they may be expressing their issues, worries or challenges, even to improve the perception about our goal.

1. Intention
The intention behind the actions, the reasons about why are we doing what we are doing is important than action itself before we start it, this is also a deeper message about why are we doing anything.
The subconscious mind needs to be fully convinced before we take any actions. The intention behind every action is a great motivation for success.
Why are we doing this?
What is important about taking this action?

2.Connection

The connection is all about internal states, every moment our body is reflecting certain states, the emotional states are connected with our physiology and are expressed continuously every moment. The whole model aims to go beyond what triggers, anchors and maintains the internal state.
The internal states are
Joy                                      Tensed
Happy                                 Anger
Sad                                     Vibrant
Relaxed                             Excited
Free

1.How are your feelings?
2.When was the time when you were thinking about something you felt really Happy?

3. Resources
Resources are important to carry out any actions, the resource elicitation and utilization is very important before we start carrying out any actions in life , coaching or training . Once the Coache or client is congruent and excited while taking actions he/she can carry out his intention and express it effectively in any situation.
What convinces you that you now are truly transformed?
What makes you feel that you can initiate the project and maintain it?

4. Expression
When something is expressed it becomes a flow and flow is wonderful, in this model we clear the inner resistance through expression, when we have positive intention to accomplish in life we can start to connect the intention internally in the form of pictures, sounds or feeling to the resourceful states, which can be finally expressed.
While we work with clients or give training we start in a different mode of expression, these expressions are helping clients to do same old behaviors in the new and simple approach.
How are we expressing ourselves?
How does our body feel and move? Is it free or tight?
How are we expressing negative states or positive states?

NOTE: Before we end the session we do the future pacing and assist the client to check the integration in deeper level in days to come.
